For my Final Major Project, I aim to explore how historical events
and modern day society have had an impact on the appearance of hair in
some cultures, particularly those of African decent. As I was looking at
African-American history during the period of Slave trade, I discovered
that the degradation placed on the slaves by society, triggered a
change in self assessment amongst those Africans.
Stage One: Introduction & Concept.
Where I will be introducing my overall concept for my final major project.
Stage Two: Research.
This part will include historical research as well as research into graphic designers and artist research. Doing so will give me inspiration and an insight into what kind of

Using my research resources I will conjure ideas that will lead to possible paths of development.
Stage Four: Development.
I will begin developing my ideas and experimenting with techniques, or working into experimental work I have done during stage two or three.
Stage Five: Final Outcome.
Final outcomes as well as finished photographed work and a mini evaluation.
